Inertia Apparatus

A 3/4" steel ball rests on a cardboard square lying on a 3" vertical post. When a spring is released, it shoots the square out and the ball falls into a concave recession in the post. (It reminds us of the old "pull-the-tablecloth-out-from-under-the-dishes" trick!)
