Learning Through Nature With Birds

Birds have been such a fun topic at our house lately. They have been a major part of our nature study both this week and last, and have been a source of so many fun discussions and adventures. Here is what we are currently loving:

1. Nature Anatomy- One of our favorite books. It is beautifully illustrated and full of information. Our littles adore it, and will get it out on a daily basis. 

2. Sibley Backyard Birding Flashcards- This is such a fun way to learn about birds. There are 100 birds to discover!

3. Bird Log- Early in the morning we will go outside, and simply watch and listen. It's amazing how many things you can hear when you intentionally stop and listen. 

4. Play Foam- We use this all the time for sensory play and development. It gets mixed with playdough, but hey, that's part of the fun right? :)
