THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR FAMILY BUSINESS!

For over 30 years Nature’s Workshop Plus has been bringing quality, educational materials to families across the country. From anatomy to zoology, we have projects and books to meet the interests of you and your children.

Our new catalog is overflowing with hands-on activities which allow your children to explore and examine their individual curiosities.

Though the electronic world is gaining on us at warp speed, we hope your children will still find enjoyment in things that take them away from the screen and into the amazing world of nature that God has given us to enjoy.

So, grab an insect net, a pair of binoculars and a nature journal and head outside. Or, enjoy a rainy day at the dining room table with a new game or craft. If you like intense fun with a purpose, check out Speed Stacks, and challenge each other to see who obtains the quickest speed.

OUR VALUES

Got a curious, questioning, child on your hands?

The physical and mental benefits of playing are amazing. The new Thames and Cosmos kits are probably just the thing! Actually, no matter what your child’s grade level, ability, or interest, we hope you’ll find something wonderful in our new catalog; and, if that “thing” reveals something new and wonderful to your child about the world in which we live and the God who created it, then we will feel like we have been successful as a company.

Are you our friend on Facebook?

If not, you should look us up because we often post specials about product sales and other exciting events where we will be attending. Check us out! We would love to see pictures and hear how you are using our products. Of course, you can always just phone the office if you have any questions about an item.

Homeschooling

Thank you for your continuing support of our family business. If your child is full of curiosities and questions about the world around him, then we hope you will appreciate our new 2015 catalog with our new selections. It has been said that a child needs something to think about, something to do, and something or someone to love. Our goal is to provide you with choices for your children which fulfill the suggestions of “something to think about” and “something to do”. When combined with the people in their lives providing the “something or someone to love”, we pray that our items help you provide a well rounded, enjoyable childhood and a productive, meaningful education. Thinking, doing, and loving are certainly alive and well in our household. Deep thinking about our world, our condition, and our faith is often in the forefront of our minds. Unending thoughts about how we should respond to our world while trying to understand how God works His sovereign ways. Regardless of these BIG thoughts that we do not often have an answer for, we, like you, puzzle through the necessary thoughts that plan our busy days. With four married children, the house seems to be getting bigger, and is in need of repair, so we’re “thinking” about that new roof we’ve been needing. Dreah and Mom have been thinking about adding a winter garden to our sun room and perhaps beginning to learn about hydroponic gardening. David is continually thinking about his next task in Civil Air Patrol, and even Derek is deep in thought, often, about how to get out of his school work! As for “doing”, there is no end to tasks and obligations. Dreah is illustrating a children’s book and is very busy with her art work. She will be offering some of her work for sale at www.wokshopplus.com in the near future. David is really busy studying for AP exams and getting ready for his next course of study. Then there is Derek who finds plenty to do, especially fire fighting and rescue work, which one must practice, daily, if he is to become a paramedic some day! Mom has been busy with bassoon playing in her spare time. A nice recital of double reed music has been planned and will be performed with her friend Sue Nelson, oboe. With only 2 children still in school, her daily to-do-list is relaxing just a bit, and the Charlotte Mason approach to Derek’s schooling is working nicely. Dad, Dreah, and David are traveling a good bit each year for Nature’s Workshop, and now our daughter, Dana, and her husband, Joshua, are also traveling for NWP. Daughter, Deanna, and her husband, Bradley, live in Florida where he has a position in a local church. Deanna works as a critical care cardiac nurse and they are very busy with their primary task of caring for their beautiful daughter, Abigail Eden. Douglas was married in May 2014 to Denee. He is an officer in the U.S. Air Force and is currently a personal assistant to the Colonel, while Denee is an officer of the law. Donny still stands tall as Derek’s shining example of a paramedic. He gave Derek a grand tour of all facilities and emergency vehicles this year, taking time to attach monitors to Derek to determine if he was really alive! Donny, with the help of his wife, Dana, own an award winning landscaping company, but garden weeding is not on the company’s task list, so moan, we just weed our own garden. We are very thankful for the blessings of family and the busyness of life that keeps us pleasantly occupied and always learning.
